OFFICIAL PIRATE ANTHO SONG

There's nothing better than Trust among pirates. And no pirate song better than "Black Sails in the Sunset."

Jeff

Evil Monkey: Er, what about the Pogue's Rum, Sodomy, and the Lash.
Jeff: You have a point.
Evil Monkey: And the Murder City Devils have a pirate song.
Jeff: Lots of people have a pirate song.
Evil Monkey: But the lyrics to Black Sails don't even--
Jeff: Don't you have a campaign to run or something?

"Jolly Roger" - Adam and the Ants
"Captain Dread" - Dreadzone

And not forgetting the truly over-the-top "Pirates" by Emerson, Lake and Palmer

I think we need an entire pirate album

Nothing shall ever top Ray Stevens' "The Pirate Song." The name says it all!

The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything - Reliant K.

Any song that starts with a harmony of "Arrrrrr!"s has to top.

Far be it from me to pick a fight with Evil Monkey, and much as I would love it to be a pirate song, Rum Sodomy and the Lash is the name of the Pogues magnificent second album, a better bet might be their "Turkish Song of the Damned"

A genuine pirate song, however, is "Oró, 'Sé do Bheatha 'Bhaile" covered by numerous artists from The Clancy Brothers to Sinead O'Connor. It details the exploits of Grace O'Malley the 16th Century Irish Pirate Queen
